Silence.

Is it really golden?

It can be. But it can also be so loud. 

I personally try not to speak (when around others that I don't trust) unless I have something important to say. Too many people spout lies from their mouths. And the biggest lie is when you say you love someone. The word love is thrown around so much. Love is not meant to be a word to throw around whenever you want to. You can like something, admire something/someone, even adore it/them. But please, stop saying love unless you really, truly know the meaning behind the word.

If you would lay down your own life to save them. If you would run across a mine field just to hold them. If you would wake up in the middle of the night and go to them because they need you. Then you love them. 

But if you just want to be near them once in a while or think they make you look better or you wouldn't give your life for theirs then please stop saying you love them. You admire them. You like them. And that's okay too.

Love grows. It takes time. And patience. It is a beautiful flower that needs nourishment and time to grow. Don't diminish that preciousness by being so eager to say "love".

And just because you say you love them... it doesn't make them love you.
