Hidden Behind A Facade

Good Morning Lovelies!

It's been awhile, I know! Sorry! My SL life has gotten a little hectic lately. But I love busyness, it keeps my mind occupied and my body moving!

But aside from all of that...

Let's talk about something important.

We all hide behind a facade every day. We hide our features with makeup, hide our bodies with clothes designed to cinch at just the right spot to make us look thinner. When we speak, we hide the truth with the lies. Why? When does it all stop?

Does it even stop?

What is this cycle of self hate that we keep promoting? Just stop. Take off your makeup. Take off your clothes. Speak the truth and stand in the mirror. Do you really know who your reflection is?

Just a thought.

Showcase: Serendipity - Touch

Hello Lovelies!

I am back with another pose from Serendipity! I am so excited to show you this pose because it is super cute!  I will also include the vendor picture so you can see the bodies better. But this can be a cute couple pose or a sweet friendship/sibling sort of pose.

It is so soft and curious and even has a magical sort of feeling. I love it! Serendipity makes great poses and I've talked before about how well they work with mesh bodies and the sizing and stuff. But it is worth re-iterating. I've bought poses before that haven't matched up body proportions well and trying to take a photo with an arm sticking through a thigh is not only unattractive, but also very frustrating! Serendipity has such great quality poses and I really enjoy them. Check them out at the main store, or even at The {Pose Lover} Event as they usually have a few poses there.

Showcase: Flippant - Serendipity

Hello Beauty's!

Lazy lazy Sunday! That's what today is. I am so tired and other people I've talked said they feel tired too. Maybe it is all the stress in the world. 

Anyways, Flippant came out with this dress for St. Patrick's Day originally, if you remember it was in green and super cute! But now it has a bunch of colors and I just like it a lot. The capped sleeves feel very fairytale-ish to me and I felt it needed a background fitted to it. So... here it is!

Since I've reviewed the dress previously, I'm not going to go into it much, but it does have a pretty awesome hud now and comes in standard mesh sizes XXS-L.

Hello Beautys!

So tons of places are coming out with girl swimsuits, right? Girls have a plethora of swimwear to pick from. But guys... they have nothing! There isn't very much out there for our guy friends and what they have is honestly questionable! If any of you girls have ever tried to dress your guy friends, or even have a guy avatar yourself, you know what I mean!

Well, fear no more! I found awesome swim trunks that work! Hallelujah, right?!

You all know I love love love Flippant! All her clothes are cute and sassy and even have a hud to change colors. This suit is made for men and no different! Flippant has made male clothes before, but not much. If you remember she made a couple outfit for valentines day and as far as I know, that's all. I could be wrong though.

But lets talk about what you get. I know when I tried to dress my sl boyfriend when I had one, he could never find anything that would fit, so he would never change. God, his clothes must have been so dirty! So, here's what cha get! The swim trunks, obviously, these come in TMP Sizes, Slink Sizes, Adam, Gianna, and even Aesthetic sizes. Even standard mesh sixes XS-L. There is a pair of sandals and flip flops for slink. Sorry I'm not showing them but this avatar has no slink feet. Crazy, right?!

These sunglasses look awesome. If you wear them with a suit you can look like your in the Secret Service! A fun extra is the mp3 player that goes on the arm. I hope its waterproof!

And finally, because it is from Flippant, you get a hud for the shorts and mp3 player that changes between 6 different styles for the shorts and coordinating colors for the mp3. You can mix it and match it too.

So, if that guy you have your eye on makes up an excuse not to go to the beach because he has no clothes that fit, show him this outfit. Or better yet, tell him to go naked! :P

I Want Adventure In The Great Wide Somewhere

Beauty.

Innocence.

Youth.

Some people believe they are one in the same. Do you?

I don't.

I think beauty comes in many forms. We all try to recreate it. In pictures. On ourselves. In our homes. In other people. And yet, there is still so much ugly in the world. We still feel in creeping up along our skin, into our bodies and invading our minds. Why?

When we put standards on what beauty is, that is when you let the ugliness creep in. 

Unacceptance. Unkindness. Jealousy. To me those are all forms of ugliness.

You are beautiful.

Everyone is. Beauty doesn't have to be what you look like. It could your words. Your voice. Your thoughts. Your heart. Your kindness.

When I was a teenager I had this idea to smile at everyone. I was bullied a lot but I always tried to hide how upset I was by a smile. So I thought that if I could hide it, other people must be hiding it too, right? Every time I saw someone I met, I'd send them a smile. Sometimes I would get the most gratitude filled look back. Other times I would get nothing, or a look that was like "Uh, why are you smiling at me?" But those looks of gratitude really made me start to feel better. Smile. You never know who might need to see your smile today.
